Gabriela Kobus is a visual artist based in Leipzig , Germany.
With a focus on the constant interplay of multiple power relations, she is interested in the complex networks of habitats and social systems.
She explores forms and value systems and deals with contradictory patterns and superficial appearances.

Gabriela Kobus studied at Pforzheim University with a focus on fashion design under Prof. Gerda Ott, sculpture with Prof. Peter Jacobi and Prof. Hetum Gruber, painting with Prof. Klaus Heider. She completed her diploma in fashion design.
During her professional experience as a freelance fashion designer, she was in charge of international brands for several years, mainly as Head of Design. Berlin was the center of her life.
Gabriela Kobus' return to free art marked her departure from the fashion industry in 2010.
She currently lives in Leipzig.
