Tent to go
One basis of my considerations for the Tent to go was a law that prohibits camping in the public space of a city.
The Tent to go is the portable home, mobile, flexible and compliant with the law. Worn as a robe or used as a shelter, this mobile space unit oscillates between offensive and defensive.

At the Dockville Art Camp and Dockville Festival, various aspects became visible and tangible: the spatial expansion of the tent creates a distance to the surroundings, while at the same time the wearers become the center of general attention and move into an exposed position.
The tent was used as a retreat and hiding place and could be seen running and dancing in the festival. The duration of use was determined by the interest of the wearers and the durability of the tent. There was only one tent in circulation at a time, which was replaced if it was destroyed or untraceable.

Eine Grundlage meiner Überlegungen zum Zelt to go war ein Paragraph, der campen im öffentlichen Stadtraum verbietet.
Das Zelt to go ist das tragbare Heim, mobil, flexibel und gesetzeskonform. Als Gewand getragen oder als Schutzraum eingesetzt, changiert diese mobile Raumeinheit zwischen Offensive und Defensive.

Beim Dockville Kunstcamp und Dockville Festival wurden verschiedene Aspekte sichtbar und erfahrbar: Durch die räumliche Ausdehnung des Zeltes entsteht eine Distanz zur Umgebung, gleichzeitig rücken die Träger_innen ins Zentrum allgemeiner Aufmerksamkeit und damit in eine exponierte Lage.
Das Zelt kam als Rückzugsort und als Versteck zum Einsatz und konnte rennend und tanzend im Festivalgeschehen gesichtet werden. Die Dauer der Benutzung wurde bestimmt durch das Interesse der Träger_innen und die Haltbarkeit des Zeltes. Es war jeweils nur ein Zelt im Umlauf, das ersetzt wurde, wenn es zerstört oder unauffindbar war.
